Marilyn Davenport began shooting at age twelve with a plastic Kodac camera she interited. Later in the 1970's she use the classic Pentax K-1000. Today she primarily embraces digital, and occasionally medium format black and white film.

She earned a degree with honors in Advertising Art with a special focus in photography. She expanded her knowledge and experice through employment by the photography department at a local college where she ran the studios, Mac digital and wet labs, working with Commerical, Fashion, Architectual and Editoral professionals teaching there. She also served as an Advisory Board Member for the photography department at the college in 2004/2005. Marilyn continued with additional university level photography courses and keeps current with workshops and lectures.

Among her awards, she received Honorable Mention for her body of work by FOTOFEST co-founder Wendy Watriss in 2005. Marilyn also worked under one

of the FOTOFEST portfolio judges. She recieved an Honorable Mention for the 2009 PX3 Photographie de Paris and other awards.

Marilyn was accepted into FOTOFEST2008, after passing through their stringent new juried requirements. Her historial body of work for the FOTOTFEST2008 exhibition can be found in her Vintage Vegas gallery here. These photos have also recieved recognition and compliments from the media. Marilyn's work has exhibited in museums, galleries and public spaces and is in private and museum clollections.
